About the Role

We’re hiring a Commissioning Engineer to join a global industrial materials company at the forefront of carbon-reduction innovation. This is a hands-on, on-site role based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, ideal for an engineer who thrives in dynamic field environments and has experience launching large-scale equipment in energy, manufacturing, or process settings.

You’ll lead commissioning activities for cutting-edge systems that support everything from electric vehicles to renewables infrastructure, playing a key role in bringing low-carbon technologies online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial systems and production equipment
  • Lead contractors and cross-functional teams through commissioning phases
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues in real time
  • Execute test plans, validation protocols, and commissioning reports
  • Collaborate with engineering and plant operations for smooth handoff to production
  • Train personnel on startup and operation of new systems
  • Participate in safety reviews, design validation (HAZOP), and field readiness planning

What You Bring

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years commissioning experience in heavy industry, energy, or advanced manufacturing
  • Proficient in mechanical systems, instrumentation, and industrial control logic
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and engineering schematics
  • Understanding of safety systems and industry standards (e.g., LOTO, ISO, NFPA)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and adaptability in fast-paced field conditions
  • Comfortable working full-time on-site and supporting project-based travel if needed
