Community Solar Sales Manager

Location: United States, Remote (Preferred: Boston, Chicago, New York)

Job Description:

Join a dynamic team driving the future of renewable energy. We are seeking a results-oriented, self-starter passionate about sustainable energy solutions to lead sales efforts in the Utility Scale and Community Solar segment across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Utility Scale and Community Solar project developers, EPCs, system integrators, asset owners, and engineering firms.
  • Actively pursue sales leads to expand the sales pipeline.
  • Forecast revenue regularly, analyze sales results, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Strengthen partnerships with PV project developers to ensure preferred supplier status.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to enhance market penetration.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, solution engineering, and operations teams to align goals and execution plans.
  • Provide insights for marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the US market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in sales with a proven track record of revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
  • Previous experience in the PV industry, with knowledge of Utility Scale and Community Solar, is highly preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude to understand and communicate product benefits effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in securing large revenue deals and converting new accounts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, hands-on approach.
