Cost Accountant – Manufacturing Finance & Inventory Management

We’re representing a manufacturing client seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant in Milwaukee, WI. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency through precise cost analysis, inventory management, and margin reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly inventory and cost reports.
• Maintain standard costs, overhead, and labour rates.
• Review BOMs (Bills of Materials) and production data for cost impacts.
• Conduct margin analysis and recommend pricing or BOM adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and support audit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Experience in manufacturing or inventory-heavy environments highly preferred.
• Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits
