Credit Analyst

Job Description

Location: Houston, TX

The Credit Analyst will assist with complex financial evaluations of domestic and international companies for various business units. Help assess the credit or financial risk and maintain receivables within approved lines of credit and sale terms. Support recommendations for new or existing vendor relationships, and assist in collections and reconciliation efforts with other departments. The role will focus more on analysis and special projects with the introduction of a new Credit Management System.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-3 years experience required
• Basic to moderate financial analysis skills, knowledge of corporate credit processes, and the ability to evaluate credit data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with SAP is a plus

Job Duties:

• Analyze customer financial statements, input data into the new Credit Management System, and ensure accuracy; make recommendations to credit managers based on analysis; develop and analyze reports and databases to identify credit trends and patterns.
• Confirm selected invoices daily with customers and trading partners; Report findings to credit managers and escalate issues as needed; Follow up on past-due invoices and outstanding charges.
• Prepare reports evaluating the credit portfolio; use statistical tools to identify process improvements and variances; support ongoing process and procedure development for ETRM and Credit Management Systems.
• Confirm large invoices from the daily Cash forecast report.

This is a hybrid role, with 1 day work from home. ONLY local candidates will be considered.
