Job Type: Full-Time | Field-Based | Travel Required

About the Role
We’re hiring a Field Service Technician to join a leading provider of electrical testing and field services for commercial and industrial clients. In this hands-on role, you’ll test and maintain critical power distribution equipment across low, medium, and high voltage systems.

You’ll work independently and as part of a team to troubleshoot, inspect, and verify the performance of electrical infrastructure — ensuring safety and system reliability for customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and inspection of power systems (480V–600kV)
  • Test transformers (insulation resistance, TTR, Doble) and protective relays
  • Calibrate electromechanical and solid-state relays
  • Conduct cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot)
  • Service ATS, switchgear, and circuit breakers
  • Verify power metering and complete relay calibrations
  • Maintain field documentation and adhere to safety protocols
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service needs

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience testing electrical power distribution equipment
  • Familiarity with switchgear, relays, ATS, and transformers
  • Working toward or holding a NETA certification (preferred)
  • Technical school, military, or equivalent field training
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and work in varied field environments
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
