Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Travel up to 25

We’re hiring Power Systems Technicians at all levels (Tech I–IV) to support field operations across low, medium, and high-voltage systems. You’ll work with a trusted electrical services firm that partners with essential industries to maintain and test critical infrastructure.

This role is ideal for professionals passionate about electrical systems, fieldwork, and contributing to projects that keep the power grid safe, reliable, and operational. You’ll receive strong technical mentorship, opportunities to grow, and the chance to work on diverse and complex electrical systems up to 500kV.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical systems from 480V to 500kV
  • Perform start-up and diagnostic services on switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers (45 kVA to 130 MVA)
  • Operate advanced testing equipment, including Doble Power Factor sets
  • Support maintenance of oil-filled, dry-type, and SF6-insulated equipment
  • Troubleshoot control circuits and transfer schemes
  • Maintain accurate testing records and service documentation
  • Rotate into on-call shifts for emergency field support
  • Mentor junior technicians and lead jobsite operations (Tech III–IV)
  • Adhere strictly to safety procedures and regulatory standards

What You Bring

  • Experience working with electrical power systems in the field
  • Technical knowledge of switchgear, relays, transformers, and testing tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and safety awareness
  • NETA certification or relevant training (preferred)
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and a team player
  • Clear communication skills and a customer service mindset
  • Willingness to travel regionally and support emergency calls
