Hiring Now: Certified Electrical Field Technician – Lakeland, FL

We’re hiring an Electrical Field Service Technician in Lakeland, FL to perform hands-on electrical testing, diagnostics, and commissioning on low, medium, and high-voltage systems. What You’ll Do

• Test and evaluate transformers, switchgear, breakers, cables, and relays
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, VLF, hipot, and injection testing
• Support system commissioning, outage troubleshooting, and startup activities
• Verify test results, document findings, and ensure compliance with standards
• Work safely with PPE, energy isolation, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and client stakeholders

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electrical testing or maintenance (utility, industrial, or commercial)
• Familiarity with protective relays, switchgear, and circuit breakers
• Ability to read schematics and electrical one-lines
• NETA/NICET certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong work ethic, flexibility to travel, and valid driver’s license
