Job Description
We’re hiring on behalf of our client for an Injection Molding Operator in Dallas-Fort Worth. This role involves supporting mold setup, machine operation, and quality assurance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review daily mold change schedules as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
- Prepare molds for installation, including pre-shutdown activities.
- Remove production molds and disconnect auxiliary/support equipment.
- Install and set up new production molds with required support equipment.
- Enter process settings into molding machines per master process control documentation.
- Maintain housekeeping around presses and initiate work orders for necessary repairs.
- Set up workstations and complete First Piece Approval documentation.
- Initiate tooling maintenance work orders for outgoing molds.
- Safely move molds to and from storage using forklifts and cranes.
- Communicate mold change issues that could affect production schedules.
- Contribute to problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; or minimum 3 months’ manufacturing experience/training.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and operating instructions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with operators, engineers, and leadership.
- Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals).
- Experience operating forklifts and cranes; knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and apply torque up to 350 lbs.
