We are currently seeking an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Supervisor to work for a leading organization who are at the forefront of their space. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this is a senior-level position. As the Senor Instrumentation & Controls Supervisor, you’ll take charge of maintaining and enhancing the performance of plant systems, ensuring all instrumentation and control equipment operates at optimal levels. Your expertise will be key in diagnosing and resolving system issues while supporting day-to-day plant operations.
Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of technicians and contractors to manage maintenance and optimize I&C system performance.
- Troubleshoot, assess, and resolve any performance deviations, ensuring continuous plant operations.
- Ensure all I&C systems are in peak operational condition, available, and reliable.
- Mentor and guide team members, enhancing their technical knowledge and skills in plant maintenance.
- Standardize maintenance procedures to ensure consistency and repeatability across tasks.
- Oversee capital and operational budgets, and manage work backlogs efficiently.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the plant’s long-term goals, with a focus on safety, reliability, compliance, and cost efficiency.
Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Supervisor Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of process management, quality tools, and techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience in plant operations or I&C systems.
- Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
- Strong focus on safety with an understanding of safety practices and policies.
- Proven experience in plant operations and I&C systems
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on knowledge of advanced power plant operations.
- Excellent planning and scheduling skills for managing complex tasks and projects.
- Experience with contract management is a plus.
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with a results-oriented approach.
- Strong proactive mindset and a commitment to taking ownership of challenges.
- Team-oriented, with a focus on achieving goals collaboratively.
