Job Description

Join a forward-thinking manufacturing organisation as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you’ll collaborate across teams to launch new product implementations, refine existing processes, and drive innovation through automation and robotics integration.

This is a hands-on role working closely with manufacturing and project teams to maximise efficiency, quality, and safety. You’ll standardise work procedures, develop operational controls, and deploy advanced technologies to improve production performance.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Introductions (NPI)

  • Act as a core member of cross-functional launch teams to optimise manufacturing processes
  • Develop and implement production methods, including automation, tooling, fixtures, and packaging
  • Conduct trials and process “prove outs” to ensure operational control and quality
  • Support smooth transfers of new programmes between facilities

Sustaining Manufacturing (SQDC)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using root cause analysis
  • Enhance processes to support product changes and improvements
  • Coordinate training on equipment, robotics, and automation systems
  • Maintain CAD-based layouts for workflow, equipment, and workspace optimisation

Continuous Improvement (CI)

  • Lead initiatives to eliminate waste using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Quick Changeover)
  • Evaluate and document process controls and standard work for efficiency
  • Support quality initiatives and automation projects across locations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related)
  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience in moulding and assembly environments preferred
  • Proficiency with CAD, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems
  • Strong communication skills to interface with leadership, customers, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
