Job Description
We are hiring a Materials Engineer for an advanced manufacturing client focused on next-generation materials and precision-engineered components. This company supports critical industries including electric vehicles, energy infrastructure, and national defense, and is rapidly scaling operations with a focus on innovation and U.S.-based production.
In this role, you will be directly involved in qualifying and tailoring high-performance magnetic materials for diverse commercial and defense applications. This is a hands-on engineering position that combines lab-based testing, R&D collaboration, and production scaling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead magnet performance testing and qualification processes in a lab environment
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to align component specs with customer requirements
- Support the scale-up of new materials and configurations for commercial deployment
- Operate and maintain material and magnetic characterization equipment
- Contribute to the development of quality and process control protocols
Ideal Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial or lab-based engineering role
- Strong foundation in advanced materials, testing, and component customization
- Proven ability to solve technical challenges and support continuous improvement
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving priorities
