Job Description
We are hiring a Materials & Process Engineer for a global power solutions provider known for delivering advanced energy technologies across every continent. This role is part of a high-growth team driving commercial and technological expansion, supported by strong funding and an advanced R&D division.
You will lead the selection and optimization of advanced materials for gas turbine components, working across product design, repair, and manufacturing teams. Your expertise in material behaviors, strength, temperature resistance, corrosion, fatigue, and lifecycle cost will be central to improving product performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct materials testing and qualification for gas turbine components
- Develop and maintain material specification documentation aligned with industry standards
- Identify and implement advanced manufacturing and repair processes (casting, coating, welding, forging, machining)
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve existing processes and introduce new technologies
- Optimize heat treatment and thermal processing techniques to improve performance
- Investigate material failures and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Provide technical recommendations based on field performance, material trends, and testing data
- Support new product development with strategic material and process guidance
- Prepare technical reports, process flow diagrams, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Ideal Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in material selection and process engineering within aerospace, power generation, or gas turbine industries
- Strong understanding of high-temperature materials, coatings, and superalloys used in gas turbines
- Hands-on experience with materials testing, process documentation, and failure analysis
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and manufacturing environments
