Mechanical Design Manager – Kansas City, MO

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Manager to lead a team of CAD professionals and ensure excellence in configuration management, drafting, and documentation. This role is key to supporting engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations in a fast-paced, innovation-driven energy solutions environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate CAD activities for rotating equipment and complex systems.
• Oversee the creation, modification, and management of models and drawings using Creo and Windchill PLM/PDM.
• Ensure all CAD work complies with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage Bills of Material (BOMs) in line with engineering specifications and manufacturing standards.
• Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Notices (ECNs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) through resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure alignment.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship to CAD team members.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in CAD and configuration management within a manufacturing or engineering setting.
• Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, and Windchill PLM/PDM.
• Strong knowledge of BOM management and engineering change processes.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Must have U.S. work authorization (no visa sponsorship available).
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
