Job Description
We are hiring Power Systems Technicians to join a technician-led electrical services company that supports critical infrastructure across the country. Whether you’re a NETA Level II, III, IV, or a Senior Field Tech with military or utility experience, this is your opportunity to grow with a company that puts people and safety first.
You’ll work on high-voltage projects, support commissioning, and lead testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance operations on electrical systems ranging from 45 kVA to 500 kV.
What You’ll Do
- Perform field testing and maintenance on switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers (45 kVA – 130 MVA)
- Troubleshoot and start up electrical systems up to 500 kV
- Conduct power factor, cable, relay, and control testing
- Work with SF6-filled and gas-insulated switchgear (preferred)
- Create technical documentation and support commissioning activities
- Travel to client sites with strong safety and customer service focus
- Mentor junior technicians and lead field crews (based on your level)
Ideal Experience & Qualifications
Tech II
- 2+ years in power systems testing
- NETA Level II certification
- Familiarity with arc-flash safety, LOTO, and hazardous energy procedures
Tech III
- 5+ years of experience
- NETA Level III certification
- Able to lead crews, assess test data, and ensure safety
- Knowledge of MCCs, relay testing, infrared scanning, and utility-grade gear
Tech IV
- 5–10 years’ experience or Associate’s degree + 5 years
- NETA Level IV certification
- Capable of leading projects, supervising teams, and producing formal reports
Senior Field Technician
- 5+ years in field testing electrical systems up to 230 kV or higher
- Expertise in NEC, NETA, NFPA, IEEE, and OSHA standards
- Military electrical training (Army Prime Power, Navy Electricians) preferred

Location & Travel
- Primary location: Blaine, MN
- Travel required up to 50% (overnight, domestic)
- Remote work considered with required travel availability
