Location: Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area

We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Director to lead our Columbus, OH team. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence, manage multidisciplinary teams, and oversee financial performance while ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in the utility and energy sector, coupled with experience in business development, client engagement, and strategic leadership.

This position will be responsible for directing engineering, project management, and design teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and fostering a high-performance work environment. The Regional Director will also play a key role in staffing, budgeting, and resource planning, working closely with executive leadership to develop and implement growth strategies for the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a regional team in executing projects across engineering disciplines, including Integrity, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Process Engineering, as well as Project Management and Design/Drafting.
  • Report on office performance to senior leadership, ensuring strategic alignment and addressing key business objectives.
  • Oversee safety and quality programs, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and internal company policies.
  • Manage client relationships, contracts, and business development efforts, maintaining strong partnerships while identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing plans, ensuring optimal resource allocation and workforce planning.
  • Develop and execute a Regional Strategy Plan, leveraging internal resources and partnerships to expand business opportunities within Ohio and surrounding markets.
  • Work closely with Regional Directors, Vice Presidents, and Executive Leadership to align company-wide strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee budgeting, accruals, invoicing, and purchase order approvals for the region.
  • Lead training and development programs to support employee growth and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that promotes accountability and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (required).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 4+ years in the utility or energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of energy markets and clients in Ohio and surrounding regions.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
