Job Description

We’re seeking a Reliability & Maintenance Engineer to join a large-scale chemical manufacturing site in Tennessee that supports a diverse range of high-performance materials used across energy, electronics, and industrial markets.

This is a site-based, hands-on engineering role focused on maximizing equipment reliability and uptime across both fixed and rotating assets. You’ll partner closely with operations, engineering, and third-party inspectors to lead mechanical integrity efforts, troubleshoot system issues, and implement long-term reliability strategies that enhance safety, performance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate fixed equipment inspections (vessels, tanks, heat exchangers) and manage follow-up actions, ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry codes (e.g. API)
  • Review site procedures and develop tailored maintenance policies to align with corporate expectations
  • Perform sizing and mechanical calculations to support equipment upgrades, retrofits, and new installations
  • Troubleshoot asset issues and lead root cause analysis for reliability events across static and rotating equipment
  • Support the rollout of site reliability programs and maintenance strategy improvements
  • Conduct hands-on evaluations in the field using drawings, technical specs, and equipment documentation
  • Act as a key liaison between site teams, project groups, and management to ensure alignment across initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar process industry
  • Deep knowledge of fixed equipment inspection, repair scopes, and mechanical integrity planning
  • Experience with reliability engineering tools and root cause analysis methods
  • Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on in a dynamic plant environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

This is an opportunity to take on a visible, high-impact role with a global leader that offers technical depth, career advancement, and strong long-term incentives. The company is known for its stability, sustainability focus, and ability to offer growth opportunities both domestically and abroad. Competitive pay, excellent benefits, and bonus eligibility included.
