Location: Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Design Engineer for our client, one of the world’s leading industrial materials companies whose products are critical to the modern economy and carbon reduction. Their materials are essential to the low-carbon, electrified technologies that power modern life, which you will find in products from electric cars to wind turbines.

The Senior Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing equipment for a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a greenfield facility while defining the future of advanced manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, controls, and manufacturing engineers, to design and implement automated manufacturing processes with integrated flows.
  • Create detailed designs, technical drawings, and specifications for equipment procurement, ensuring vendor compliance and seamless execution post-purchase.
  • Leads and supports the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning efforts to transform projects from concept to full operational readiness.
  • Conduct technical design reviews, simulations (CAD, FEA, durability), and compliance audits to meet industrial standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
  • Mentor junior engineers and specialists, fostering team development and technical expertise.
  • Research and implement automation systems, manage component sourcing, and oversee equipment fabrication and deployment.
  • Collaborate with EHS to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Document processes for smooth handoffs to end users, prepare technical reports, and follow change management protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance worker safety, process uptime, and product quality.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering discipline.
  • PE License
  • 7+ years of experience in process design and automation within a manufacturing setting (preferably in equipment design for metals, semiconductors, or specialty chemicals industries)
  • Expertise in industrial automation, CAD tools, and control system design.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, statistical process control, and human factors in manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to drive innovative solutions from concept to implementation.
