About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Design Engineer to lead electrical design efforts for utility-scale solar PV and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects. You’ll join a rapidly growing engineering firm focused on modernizing the U.S. grid and accelerating the clean energy transition.

This remote role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle, from concept through construction, while collaborating with clients, utilities, and internal teams nationwide.

What You’ll Do

• Lead design and engineering of solar PV and energy storage systems
• Create equipment layouts, conduit plans, and detailed single-line diagrams
• Oversee medium-voltage and utility interconnection designs
• Coordinate with AHJs, utilities, and EPCs for permitting and compliance
• Guide technical decision-making and support design standardization
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership across teams

What You Bring

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (required)
• 8+ years of professional electrical design experience
• 3+ years of experience designing commercial or utility-scale PV systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and PV modeling tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope)
• Experience with medium-voltage systems and interconnection requirements
• Battery energy storage (BESS) experience is a strong plus
• PE license or on track to obtain one
• Excellent communication and project collaboration skills
