Job Description

We’re seeking a Senior Project Engineer with strong plastics or tooling experience to join a growing team focused on cutting-edge manufacturing and product development. Based in Greater Milwaukee, this hands-on role supports new product development efforts from concept through production, with a focus on customer collaboration, technical leadership, and cross-functional delivery.

You’ll lead complex engineering projects and contribute to critical medical and industrial applications, driving continuous improvement and precision across all development phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full project lifecycle from prototype to production launch
  • Interface directly with customers to capture design intent and engineering requirements
  • Support tooling and product design including DFM and material selection
  • Collaborate with tooling, quality, and operations to meet deliverables
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and timelines
  • Oversee testing, validation, and troubleshooting of new designs
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Promote process improvement within the product development lifecycle

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Plastics, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering or manufacturing (3+ for Project Engineer level)
  • Expertise in injection molding, plastics materials, or tooling design
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and GD&T
  • Familiarity with medical device manufacturing or regulated industries (preferred)
  • Strong customer-facing communication and project leadership skills
  • Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and ISO 13485 or FDA guidelines a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 base
