Job Description
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join a leading U.S. turnkey energy solutions company that delivers innovative service and equipment solutions for critical infrastructure projects. Following rapid growth and a significant pipeline of EPC contracts, the company is expanding its internal engineering team. In this role, you’ll lead structural engineering work on substation and switchyard projects and collaborate cross-functionally with EPC teams, construction leads, and clients to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design for substation projects and serve as engineer of record as required
- Conduct and review structural analysis, drawings, and calculations for EPC deliverables
- Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, and construction teams to meet project milestones
- Oversee quality control, documentation, and design compliance with industry standards
- Review vendor packages and ensure alignment with engineering specifications
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering process improvements
- Participate in RFI resolution, design updates, and client coordination meetings
- Support development of standard templates, design tools, and project workflows
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned engineering tasks
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, ideally in substations, switchyards, or energy infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in structural design, steel detailing, and foundation calculations
- Experience with dynamic foundation and vibration analysis preferred
- Familiarity with deep foundation systems and large-scale utility project scopes
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, IBC, NESC)
- Proficiency in structural design tools such as SAP2000, MathCAD, IdeaStatica, and Hilti
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across disciplines
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural Engineering is preferred
