Job Description

We are currently seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to join an incredible world leading Aerospace and Defense Manufacturer. The organization is a Global business, specializing within missiles and aerospace components. As the Vice President of Human Resources, you will oversee all HR operations for the site, and have proven HR experience, preferably with a Defense background, that has knowledge of benefits and employment laws for both contract and permanent employees.

The Vice President of Human Resources Responsibilities Will be:

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with supervisors and managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs HR tasks to administer human resource programs including benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; employee relations and morale; and training and development.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Utilizes our HRIS systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

The Vice President of Human Resources Qualifications Will be:

  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with full-scope HRIS systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated work experience in a similar role.
  • PHR/SPHR or similar certification.
